Pictures for Christmas...yes please!!!

I have been wanting to get back into blogging for awhile now. I thought it would be a great way to keep in touch with family and friends far and wide now that Natalie has been born. Shutterfly gave me a great reason to blog again. They have so many great holiday cards. That I was so excited to try them out. I have made several books from Shutterfly and ordered Natalie's birth announcement there too. I think with the holidays coming up I want to make sure to give people many pictures of Natalie to enjoy and remember her first year of life. Shutterfly has many great ways to give the gift of Natalie's pictures:)

I created her birth announcement here. I loved how easy they made it and how fast I got them.
I know this year I want the world's cutest Christmas card for my Christmas cutie. I can't wait to put adorable pictures of Natalie on it.

I really like this one because I can put a couple different pictures of her in it. That way people can see lots of different shots of her. I also like how it says joy. She is such a joy to us so that seems the perfect card. I love the red and green look to it. I also think it is a perfect way for people to see how much she has grown since I sent out her birth announcement.

I really like this one too. Again, I like that it has many different picture spots. It is very important that I have that. I think it is cute to have the tree shape. It gives it a "kid" look to it. I like that there are many picture places. I can never decide which ones I love so this way I can put lots of Natalie in there.

I'm thinking of also making a Christmas calendar for friends and family. Who doesn't want a picture of my cutie all year long???? I thought the parents would like it a lot and I know I really want one for my house!
I can't wait to make all these great items for Christmas this year. I know it is going to be great and the cards will be a hit. I know I will love the calendar too! I can't wait for Christmas. It is going to be so fun to have our first Christmas with our baby girl!

The Weekend is Ending...

Well the first weekend of going back to school is ending. I have spent a large chunk of the weekend on the couch. Somehow in just four days of being back at school, I caught a yucky cold. I have no idea how I could have gotten it so fast! I have been attempting to nurse myself back to health. Steve, of course, has been super helpful and making me feel much better. We really stayed pretty low-key this weekend. Friday night, we had a barbeque with my school. On Saturday, Julie and I ran 18 miles preparing for the marathon. Amazingly, it went really well! YEAH! Steve watched the U of M game-GO BLUE! Then we got some shopping done at the mall last night and spent some time with Garth and Nicole and kids! What a great weekend-if only it continue! Hope everyone has a great week!

Summer is quickly ending!

Where has the summer gone? I think that is a question that I ask every summer when school is about to start! I spent a lot of time in my classroom trying to get it all ready. I want to try a variety of new things this year so I am not feeling ready. I also have several papers that need to be written but I'm sure I'll find a way to get it all finished!
Today, I am going to spend time with my niece and nephew. Garth and Nicole are gone for the week so my mom is on daycare duty and I'm with her:) The kids are very cute but man Steve and I learned this weekend how much work they are.
Steve and I didn't end up going to Ludington a couple weekends ago so we are heading up to Mackinac Island this weekend. I am so excited!!! I really wanted to take a final trip of the summer and we are going to! YEAH! I will have to figure out how to post pictures from when we get back! Enjoy your Tuesday!

Happy 3 Year Anniversary!!

Steve and I have been married 3 years today! We cannot believe how quickly time flies! I feel like it was just yesterday I woke up at my mom's house all excited to get married to Steve. We already took our summer vacation so today we are going to spend time on the boat and then go out for dinner at the Belvedere Inn in Saugatuck. This is the place where Steve proposed so we love to go back there. It is so nice that Steve took the day off of work so we can spend time together. This weekend we are going to continue our celebration and head to Ludington for the night. I am really looking forward to going there. I love being married and more importantly I love being married to Steve! Well it is time for us to go on the boat! Have a great Wednesday!!!

My First Blog Post Ever!

Hello Everyone! I am so excited to become a member of the blogging community! I am eager to post more pictures so everyone can see all that is going on with Steve and I. Several of my friends are getting blogs so I thought Steve and I should jump on the bandwagon. Really I think it is because it is Sunday night and I don't have to work in the morning so I might as well make a blog! I love being a teacher-there are so many great parts! Summer is just one of the many much to Steve's chagrin! haha! Well I will be posting more soon with some pictures! Have a great night!
